Watermain Cleaning, By-Pass and Same Day Return to Service

Often overlooked until cost are revealed, cleaning and by-pass pumping or diverting can be a major consideration in the scheduling and completion of a trenchless technology project. Inspecting to determine cleaning requirements, positioning of surface pumps, location of service connections above ground are all examples of the topics to be addressed in this seminar. In addition, with the increase in utilizing same day return to service scheduling, it is vital to ensure site operations are designed to fulfill this requirement. Updates on technology and specifications will ensure attendees bring these topics to the forefront of their future project considerations. More details coming.

Trenchless Technologies for Forcemain Condition Assessment

Managing wastewater force mains has historically been difficult for operators. Traditional methods of gravity main assessment are not applicable to force mains, and consequences of force main failures are very high. In addition, force mains have unique operational challenges that make their condition assessment more difficult and challenging than water mains. This seminar will outline a holistic, risk-based approach for force main condition assessment that targets the most common causes of force main failures. Specific topics include:

  •  Force main failure mechanisms
  • The tools for force main assessment
  • Developing a comprehensive management program
  • Successful management case studies
