Leak Detection Technologies

Description:

Rapid improvements and advancements in watermain condition assessment and monitoring technologies have made it possible to capture and address leaking watermains before they turn into catastrophic failures. This workshop will introduce a variety of tools and technologies for watermain inspection and condition monitoring. The participant will learn about the working principles, processes, and benefits and limitations of technologies that include visual inspection, non-invasive acoustics, in-line inspection, and continuous leak monitoring. The cost-benefit of leak detection programs will be demonstrated through a number of case studies.
